Congratulations of the birth of your child! We are glad that you are seeking baptism here at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish.

In the Catholic Church we baptize babies because they borrow the faith of their parent(s) who make a commitment to share their faith with their children until they are old enough to make there own faith choices. So, the church requires the following:

At least one parent is registered in the parish and regularly comes to Mass.
Attend one baptism class which is held on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Office. Please call the office (989) 894-2701 and speak with Deacon Tim Hartwig for registration.
If parents are not from the parish, Deacon will refer you to the pastor.
If you are new to the parish, there is a minimum of three months membership after registration before requesting baptism.

Baptisms are celebrated at any of the three weekend Masses. We prefer only one baptism per Mass. No baptisms are celebrated during Lent. If you have any further questions, please call the office or the pastor, 894-2701.
