Finance Commission

The Finance Commission is a consultative body that provides advice and recommendations to the Pastor concerning the stewardship of the parish's fiscal resources.  This includes long-range financial planning to support the mission of the parish.  The finance commission advocates sound management practices and is responsible for resource development, budget preparation and review, and overall fiscal accountability as well as maintaining the parish building, grounds, and equipment. 

Finance Commission Member 
The Finance Commission works with the pastor and parish staff along with other commission member in regards to the administratio nfo the parish 's material resources.  They create long and short-term financial goals for the parish.  Time commitment is 1.5 hours for monthly meeting and special meeting as required to comeplete budgetary tasks and planning.  

Money Counters
Money counters are part of a team consisting of 3-5 parishioners who count the weekly offering on Monday mornings, prepare the deposit and take it to the bank.  Time commitment is 2 hours per week, frequency of serving is based on the number of teams.  Ability to maintain confidentially is a must.  

Building and Grounds
This subcommittee regularly assesses the physical condition of the church buildings and grounds.  Suggestions are made to the Finance Commission for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.  Construction  or mechanical knowledge is beneficial but not required.  Time commitment is 1.5 hours monthly, and special meetings when  necessary.  

Budget Subcommittee
This subcommittee takes on the  important taks of reviewiing the overall budget of the parish with its various components.  Expected collections and revenue versus expenses for upcoming year are all considerred.  Time commitment varies throughout the year.

Sharing Committee
This committee considers requests for the allocation of the parish tithe of collections (amount to be determined by teh Finance Commission and Pastoral Council).  First preference for funds is given to people in need withiing our parish  and community and to non-profit organizations.  The Stewardship Commission is consultative to this group.  Time commitment is 1 to 1.5 hour quarterly meetings.
